Phillip graduated with distinction from the Johnson School at Cornell University in 2007, where he was actively involved with Net Impact and the Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise. Phillip earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from Oregon State University in 1994, where he drove a mint 1970 VW Type 3 Fastback. Phillip served 6 years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineers and 5 years as an engineer with Corning Optical Fiber, and is currently the Manager of Business Development with Corning Strategic Growth, where he commutes on a 1978 Honda CB550K motorcycle.
